KAYNER, Allen J. - Age 62, of Bay City, MI, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2001.

A funeral service for Mr. Kayner will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2001 at Westminister Presbyterian Church, 107 N. Dewitt St. (corner of Dewitt and Midland Sts.) Bay City at 11AM. Rev. William Hennessy will officiate with cremation following. The family will be present at the Hyatt-Ewald Funeral Home, 700 N. Monroe St., Bay City on Thursday from 2-9PM and Friday from 2-9PM and at the church on Saturday from 10AM until time of service. On Friday evening 7-7:30PM, the OES and Masons will hold their respective memorial services.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests those planning an expression of sympathy to consider the Tall Shriner Unit, Shriner's Children's Hospital or Westminister Presbyterian Church.

He was born January 11, 1939 to the late Dorothy and Alfred Kayner and had been an area resident all of his life. He married the former Judy Parks on June 29, 1963 at Westminister Presbyterian Church and she survives him.

Also surviving are: 3 children, Karen Kayner (Dale) Sneller of Kawkawlin, MI, Kristine (Tim) Ordiway of Racine, WI, Steven (Jill) Kayner of Rochester Hills, MI; 2 granddaughters, Olivia Ordiway of Racine, WI and Leah Sneller of Kawkawlin, MI; brother, Thomas (Marilyn) Kayner of Bay City; 2 nephews, Dr. Michael (Kelly) Kayner and son, Thomas, Patrick (Denise) Kayner and their children, Casey, Trystin, and Carson; many cousins and extended family. Mr. Kayner was a teacher in the Bay City Public Schools for 30 years prior to his retirement in June 1992. He was very active and supportive of many religious activities, masonic organizations, and runners clubs and road races.
