Carlo R. Fala, age 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, September 12, 2014. Carlo was born on September 29, 1927 in Columbus, Ohio. He was a loving and thoughtful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend to many. Carlo was a veteran of World War II, having proudly served with the Marine Corps. Preceded in death by his parents Alfonso and Pia (Ettorre) Fala, son David Fala, brother Allan (Al) Fala, and sisters Lillian Fala and Julia Fala, OSF. Carlo was the owner of Carlo's Pizza in New Rome and Carlo's Villa di Roma in Arlington. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 68 years, Rita Fala; children, Larry Fala, Marlene (Terry) Riley, Steve (Amy) Fala and Tina (Rick) Walls; daughter-in-law, Sharon Fala; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; devoted sisters, Clara Fala, Shirley Fala, Jean Rizek and Joan (Charlie) White; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
