He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Betty Sue Tidwell; sisters, Dorothy (Herbert) Townsend and Johnette Tidwell; brother-in-law Buck Fowler. Surviving are his daughter, Karon Toole of Powder Springs, GA; son, Terrell Tidwell of Powder Springs, GA; grandchildren, Amber (Mike) Gilligan of Madison, WI, Tinsley (James) Lester of Dallas, GA, Weston Humphrey of Powder Springs, GA, and Mallory Tidwell of Kennesaw, GA; brothers, Clarence Tidwell, and Earl (Jean) Tidwell; and sister, Margaret Fowler.
