Betsy was born on October 25, 1943 in Caldwell County to her late parents, Teddy Vester Holt, Sr. and Myrtle Mae Goodman Holt. She was a retired rural mail carrier for Caldwell County, a member of First Baptist Church of Princeton and a Kentucky Colonel. Her hobbies included growing orchids, solving word puzzles, painting and weaving baskets. Her many assets included being a great mom, grandmother, great-grandmother and being involved in her husband's ministry.
Betsy is survived by husband, Ronald Norval Hooks, Sr.; one daughter, Debbie (Jeff) McClure of Princeton; two sons, Ron (Renee) Hooks, Jr. of Parksville, KY, Gary Gray (Jennifer) Hooks, of Troy, TN; two sisters, Daisy Holt of Princeton, Dot (Boyd) Emmert of Brandenburg, KY; one brother, Teddy (June) Holt of Lyon County; six grandchildren, Jordan (Sarah) McClure, Josh (Kelsey) McClure, Matthew Hooks, Laura Hooks, Elizabeth Hooks and Ben Hooks; four great grandchildren, Audrey, Nya, Elizabeth and Ian McClure.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Ann Holt and Patsy Carter.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton, KY.
Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Morgan's Funeral Home with Rev. Kirk Greenfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Caldwell County.
