On August 19, 2021, Joseph John DiPipi, 83, was called to the Lord peacefully in his home surrounded by the love of his family. He was the husband of Carole (Monelli) DiPipi with whom he shared 60 years of marriage.

Born on January 22, 1938 in Old Forge, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late John and Emma (Schiavo) DiPipi. He moved to Stroudsburg as a teenager where he lived for more than 60 years.

Joe proudly served in the United States Army on active duty from 1958 to 1960 where he was stationed in Fort Knox, Kentucky and continued his service through 1964.

Joe was the owner and proprietor of Albino's Italian-American restaurant known for its extensive Yankee memorabilia, delicious Italian food and warm hospitality. Joe was also involved in real estate development and established the Creek at Glenbrook. Additionally, he partnered in multiple automotive business ventures. After officially retiring, Joe enjoyed working for Ted's Used Cars where he had many dear friends.

Joe had many interests and hobbies that he was passionate about. Throughout his life, Joe was an avid fisherman, sportsman, and golfer; but, his true passion was building and racing hot rods. This started by secretly swapping a Chrysler 300 Hemi into his father's 1950 Ford and progressed to building a series of Chevrolet and Ford mid-thirties steel bodied cars. The last of which was quite popular at the Pocono Performance Enthusiasts Nostalgic Drag Races where he loved racing.

Joe loved St. Matthew's church and was dedicated to the local community. In 1975, he was instrumental in founding the original Pocono Snow Soccer Club, a national amateur league soccer team based in East Stroudsburg. Joe was also active in local politics.

Joe lit up a room with his huge smile and warm personality. He will be remembered by many for his legendary stories including tales about his childhood in Old Forge and his experience surviving the flood of 1955 in East Stroudsburg when he was just 17.

Together, Carole and Joe built a beautiful life filled with joy, laughter, and fun. Joe's greatest pride was his five daughters that he affectionately referred to as his "bevy of beauties." They will treasure the many memories and life lessons that he shared with them. Joe was blessed with 11 grandchildren ranging in age from 36 to 4 years-old and he loved spending time with them. He took great delight in showing them how special each one was to him in their own unique way.

Joe is survived by the love of his life, Carole (Monelli) DiPipi and daughters Gloria Bolger (Tom); Gina Dellasala (Frank); Angela Weiss (Doug); Leticia DiPipi (Michael Casey); Caroline DiPipi-Hoy (Bill). Grandchildren, Denna Weiss Matergia and husband Michael, Rachel Weiss, Frankie Dellasala, Joseph Dellasala, Annmarie Dellasala, Angela Mia Dellasala, Elena Casey, John Casey, Will Hoy, Emma Hoy, and Gina Hoy.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Lehigh Valley Hospice-Pocono for their guidance and support and Melissa Locricchio for her compassionate care.

Joe's family welcomes visitors on Saturday, August 28, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home in Stroudsburg from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church, 78 Ridgeway Street, East Stroudsburg, with Rev. Ryan Glenn as celebrant. Burial will follow in Laurelwood Cemetery, Stroudsburg.
