Ruth Ann Kilpatrick of Chumuckla, Florida passed away on August 19, 2021 at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. Ruth was born on September 11, 1944 to James Homer Owens and Bessie Irene Hayes Owens in Jay, Florida.
Ruth attended Jay High School up through her Senior year before marrying Rodney Kilpatrick on August 5, 1961 and moving to Chumuckla where she resided the rest of her life. Preceding her in death are: Parents James Homer & Bessie Irene Hayes Owens, Sister Jane Owens Butler, Husband Rodney Kilpatrick, Son Ryan Kilpatrick, Grandson-in-law Marcel Gauthier and Companion Bud Rogers.
Ruth was a loving wife to Rodney, with whom she had 3 children and spent 29 years with before God called him home. She then found love again with Bud Rogers, her companion for the last 25 years. She loved his 2 daughters as her own. Bud preceded her in death by only 6 days. She was a caring grandmother and great-grandmother. Ruth also loved country music – Gene Watson in particular, Hallmark movies, Nascar racing and Sunday dinners with Renee and Eddie.

Daughters: Rhonda Kilpatrick O'Kelley (Ricky) of Allentown, FL and Renee Kilpatrick Tribble (Eddie) of Milton, FL
Daughter-in-law: Jennifer Kilpatrick of Chumuckla, FL
Grandchildren: Emily Gauthier & Austin Tribble of Milton, FL, Jenna Cook (Lance) of Allentown, FL, Kamille Deysel (Jacques) of Austin, TX and Matthew Robertson of Chumuckla, FL
Great-Grandchildren: Michael Gauthier of Milton, FL; Hallie, Piper & Reagan Cook of Allentown, FL and Owen & Luuk Deysel of Austin, TX
Survivors also include Bud's children and grandchildren whom Ruth "adopted" as her own:
Daughters: Lisa Rogers Vines (Andy) of Homosassa, FL & Tammy Rogers Wadsworth (Jody) of Waldo, FL
Grandchildren: Amber Wilson (Danny) of Crystal River, FL and Jimmy Orcutt (Stacy) of High Springs, FL
Great-Grandchildren: Stella, Easton, Dallas, Jackson & Ellie
Ruth is also survived by Sister, Flossie Lee Batson (George), and three Brothers – James Homer Owens, Tommy Owens (Dorothy) and Tony Owens (Donna) along with many nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held for the immediate family and siblings of Ruth on Saturday, August 28th with Jay Funeral Home assisting at Elizabeth Chapel Cemetery. The family requests that you respect our wishes for this private time with our loved one.

The family would also like to thank Dr. John Spencer, all the ER nurses at Baptist Main and the 4th floor Nurses for respecting our family members' wishes and treating her final hours with respect and dignity.
