Andrew is the s/o Wm. Riley Akers & Susannah L. Reed. He married Mary Susan Bishop.

He obituary is dated June 6, 1912, Bluefield Daily Telegraph, June 4, 1912: Death of a Young Man. A. J. Akers who died at the home of his father, R. W. Akers, on the Northside, after a short illness was buried Tuesday afternoon at Walnut Grove Cemetery. He was twenty years of age.

There is no death entry in the WV deaths. He died on the Northside but I am not familiar with that area enough to know where it is.
