BARBARA COLLINS ADAMS
1935 - 2007

Barbara J. Collins Adams passed into her heavenly home on November 26, 2007 in a local hospital.
Barbara was born on December 30, 1935 in Bedford County, Virginia and spent her early childhood with her grandmother, her aunts and uncles on the farmland, which she grew to love and cherish. She moved to Pensacola with her mother in 1941 and attended local schools graduating from Pensacola High.
Barbara was the "very classy" dressed hostess for the Driftwood Restaurant for over 20 years, modeling fashionable clothing for Sams Style Shop as well as other local boutiques. She seated many dignitaries and movie stars during her 20 yrs. She was a devoted wife and mother and influenced her daughters that a good education was the key to success and was proud of all three graduating from college. Barbara's greatest joy in life was giving and doing for others.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nick W. Adams.
She is survived by her three daughters, Stephanie (Tony) of Atlanta, GA, Daphne (Keith) of Red Lion, PA, and Jennifer (Scott) of Molino; grandchildren, Rachel and Nathan of Red Lion, PA and great grandchild, Cameron of Red Lion, PA; and a special aunt, Dottie Steinsiek. The family would like to express their heartfelt "Thanks" to Doctor's Chedid, Sunnenberg, Biay and Stewart, as well as all of the wonderful "Staff" at Life Care of Pensacola.
Graveside services will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery at 2:30 pm Thursday with the Rev. Elaine Chapman officiating. The family will receive friends at Faith Chapel North-Cantonment from 12 noon until 2:00 pm with a funeral cortege to follow to Holy Cross Cemetery.
