Nyna Lucas, age 81, of Laporte, Texas passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021 surrounded by her family and loved ones. Nyna was born August 15,1940 in Phillipsburg, PA and was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Laura (Hayden) Hancock.

Nyna was a member of the Walker Twp Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Pennsylvania Farm Bureau Auxiliary President, the United Methodist Ladies Quilting Fairies, The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, the Pasadena Strawberry Festival, Laporte Senior Center, Deer Park Senior Center, Lee College Senior Group and Lift. Nyna spent 40 plus years farming in Center County, Pa. In her free time, she loved to travel, quilt, bake and spend time with her family.

She is survived by two children, Andrew (Debra) Lucas of Bellefonte, PA and Amy (Michael) Womack of La Porte, TX; three grandchildren, Leslie Stimer, Chad (Natalie) Lucas and Lauria (Gavin) Dowdy; four great-grandchildren, Shane and Aften Stimer, Emma Dowdy and Liam Lucas; her cherished gentleman friend, Patrick Stanton; sister, Sue (William) Gilbert. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her siblings Charles Hancock and Lois Pagle.

A Chapel\Gravesite service will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the Monongahela Cemetery, 800 Country Club Rd., Monongahela, PA 15063.
