Funeral services for Kathy Lee Flynn Anderson Dyer age 58 of Fayetteville who passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Lincoln Medical Center in Fayetteville, will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 11:00 am from the chapel of Gowen-Smith with Brother Marvin Wilson Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley cemetery in Fayetteville, TN.
Friends may visit the funeral home on Friday, August 27, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and on Saturday morning from 10:00 am until the time of service.
The family has requested that all in attendance for the visitation and funeral service must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Kathy was born on Tuesday, October 23, 1962 in Fayetteville, Tennessee to James Calvin Flynn and Wanda Shelton Flynn and they survive her.
She was a high school graduate and earned a degree at the technology school as well as serving in the United States Army.
Kathy attended The Door church in Unionville and was employed by Mapco Express. She was married to Jimmy Edward Dyer and he survives her.
Other survivors include her children: Kelly Bell of Alcoa, TN, Alisha Anderson-Wilson (Joshua) of Shelbyville, TN, Nakaita Anderson of Shelbyville, TN, Joseph Anderson of Shelbyville, TN and one step son: Austin Charles Dyer of Lewisburg, TN, She is survived by nine grandchildren.
Kathy was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Katherine and Lawrence Flynn and her maternal grandparents: Tommie Lee Mitchell and Wilson Shelton, one son in law: Steven Houghtaling and one great nephew: Blake Bradford.
