ARLINGTON, Va. - Dwight A. Allen, 77, of 4806 South 34 St., a former resident of Hudson, Mass., and Baldwinville, Mass., died yesterday.


He was born in Berlin, Mass., and had lived in Hudson until 1922 when he moved to Baldwinville. He operated Allen's Drug Store in that town until 1946. He worked as a pharmacist in Arlington the past 26 years.


A World War I veteran, he had been a member of the American Legion Post of Gardner, Mass. He was a 50-year member of the Doric Lodge of Masons, Hudson.


He leaves his widow, Dorice G. (Taylor) Allen; three sons, Douglas Allen of Marina, Calif., Theodore Allen in England, and Dean Allen of Springfield, Va.; a daughter, Mrs. Alberta Rich of Hudson; a sister, Miss Abbie Allen of Hudson; and 11 grandchildren.


Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday in the Merrill-Carleton Funeral Home, Hudson. Burial will be in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson.
