Franklin died of consumption. He was the son of Hibbard Parker Wheeler (1835-1895) and Lucy Alzina M. Reed (Proctor) (1832-1925), who, according to the lot card, are both buried in this lot with Franklin.
Hibbard was the son of Lorenzo H. Wheeler (1809-1836) and Mary Sawyer (Gile) (1803-1877).
Lucy was the daughter of Thomas Rogers Proctor (1784-1865) and Lucy Lee (1800-1891).
