William E. "Bill" Zarn, age 73, of Two Rivers, died Monday, August 23, 2021, with his family at his side at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Green Bay.
William was born on December 30, 1947, in Two Rivers, a son of the late Homer and Ruth (Kautsky) Zarn. He graduated from Washington High School with the Class of 1967. On January 16, 1971, Bill married Lynn Filliez at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Bill was employed at Two Rivers Community Hospital for many years retiring in 2003. Since his retirement, he has enjoyed being a crossing guard at Magee School for the Two Rivers Police Dept. Bill enjoyed being outdoors, fishing with his grandkids, bonfires and listening to Badger Football and Milwaukee Brewers Baseball games on the radio.
Survivors include his wife Lynn Zarn of Two Rivers: son and daughter-in-law: Neal and Shannon Zarn of Two Rivers; daughter and son-in-law: Marsha and Jason Hanson of Mishicot and his grandchildren: Nolan Zarn and Ethan and Ellie Hanson. He is further survived by his siblings: Mike (Barbara) Zarn of Wisconsin Rapids, Polly Kakuk (special friend, Larry Yanda) of Mishicot and Amy (Rick) Hearley of Green Bay and his sister-in-law: Mary (Dale) Plansky of Two Rivers; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister: Kathy Semrau and his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Arnold and Donna Filliez.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th St., Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Dave Pleier with entombment to take place at a later date at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m.
