Ruth Darlene VILVEN, 76, of rural Pontiac, died at St. James Hospital, Pontiac. She was born a daughter of William Edward and Minnie [HOLLAND] ROBINSON. She married Wayne Owen VILVEN the 23rd of November 1939 at Keokuk, Iowa. He died on the 22nd of December 1985. Surviving are one daughter, Mary Ann HOGGINS, Pontiac; three grandchildren, Edward HOGGINS, Tammy ZELEDON, and Janie COLERO; five great grandchildren; one sister, Edna KOERNER, of Pontiac; and two companions, Maxine Douvia and Don Alltop. One brother and four sisters preceded her in death. Mrs. VILVEN moved to Pontiac at the age of 3 and spent the rest of her life in the Pontiac area. She was educated in the Pontiac schools and worked on the farm with her husband. Mrs. VILVEN was baptized in the Baptist Church. She was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and Moosehart for 36 years.
