James "Jim" Edgar Chancellor, 87, passed into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at his residence in Pearl, MS. There will be a graveside service on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl.

Jim was born July 27, 1934 in Raymond, MS to the late James and Jodie Chancellor. He moved to Pearl in 1993, where he was a member of Truitt Memorial Baptist Church and served as a Deacon. He retired from Stuart Irby in 2000 and later worked for Enterprise, Vacuum Truck Rentals and Cline Tours. He also had Chancellor Catfish Catering for events and organizations. Jim was a 32nd Degree Mason. He entered at Forest Hill Lodge #613 where he was a worshipful Master. Currently, he was a member of the John P Byrd Lodge #629 where he was Master of the Lodge in 2006. He was and avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed, as a hobby, restoring and selling guns.

Jim is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sarah Muse Chancellor of Pearl; son, Jerry (Cathy) Chancellor of Hoover, AL; daughter, Judy Fillingame of Mountain Home, AR; grandchildren, Frankie (Shauna) Nance, Jason Chancellor, Jenny Navarijo, and Kary Fillingame; numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Jim's caregivers, his niece, Diana L. Root, and Dee Dixon, as well as Jessica and Ashley with Home Care Hospice.
