He began his acting career in 2008, appearing in the Indian television series Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na. He gained wide popularity in 2012 while appearing in the TV drama Balika Vadhu. His big screen debut was in 2014 in the romantic comedy Humpty Sharma ki Dulhania, followed by Business in Kazakstan in 2016. He also appearanced in the Hindi web series Broken But Beautiful 3 (playing the part of Rumi). He went on to appear in a few reality TV shows, achieving a win on the Hindi version of Fear Factor in 2016. He also hosted India's Got Talent in 2015. In 2021, he was declared The Times of India's Most Charismatic TV personality. He died unexpectedly of a heart attack at Cooper Hospital in Mumbai. He is survived by his mother and two sisters.
