Dan married Bettye (Harris) Smith on May 26, 1962, in Toledo, OH. She preceded him in death on May 24, 2002. He served in the Army, stationed in Alaska, during the Korean War. He drove for Rumpf Truck Lines and retired from Time-DC Truck Lines.
Never one to sit still, after his retirement he remodeled homes, worked with his son-in-law, Mike, for many years, and worked with Carmine Cervi on rental property. Dan loved to fish. He enjoyed his volunteer time at the Lion's Den in Temperance, MI, and his face always lit up when he saw his grandchildren and great-grand-children.
Dan will be remembered as a husband, dad, neighbor and friend who was always there to help. He had a giving heart and would always lend a hand. One of his happiest accomplishments was the home he and Bettye built in Ottawa Lake, MI. Dan will be missed so much. He never lost his sense of humor. Surviving are his loving daughters, Sarah of Bay City, MI, Alyce (Mike) of Lambertville, MI and Lisa (Edgar) of Worthington, OH; his grandchildren and great- grandchildren. He will also be missed by his brother, Tom (Karen) of Sylvania, OH; sisters, Alice Cobb of Oregon, OH and Donna Leask of Monroe, MI, and son, Dennis Drouillard, and many other relatives and friends.
