Anna Ruth (Parton) Gibson, age 86, of Seymour, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 4, 2021. She was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church. Ruth was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was especially gifted with compassion and generosity, and blessed all those she came into contact with. She spent 33 years as a funeral attendant at Berry Highland South (formerly Holly Hills) Funeral Home, greeting everyone with that warm smile and a kind word. She loved to be outside, gardening and spending time with her family.
Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Carl D. Gibson; parents, Ernest and Zula Parton; and sisters, Bonnie and Jewell.
She is survived and will be dearly missed by her son, Dennis (Vickie) Gibson; daughter, Denise (Bruce) Lillie; grandchildren, Cassidy (Ben) Keefer, Adrian Gibson, Logan (Callie) Lillie, Hayden Lillie; brother, Don (Linda) Parton; several sisters/brothers-in-law; several nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.

The Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 8th from 5:00-7:00pm at Berry Highland South Funeral Home, with a Funeral Service to follow, Pastors Butch Stovall and Cotton Kelly officiating. We will meet at Berry Highland South Cemetery in the Garden of Valor on Thursday, September 9th at 11:00am for a Graveside Service.
