SCRANTON JOURNAL Scranton, Iowa Thursday June 19, 1924 Page 5 col. 4: BROUGHT BACK FOR BURIAL Mrs. Allen Glenn, of Shell Lake, Wisconsin, died at her home last Friday at the age of 69 years 1 month and 27 days, the cause of her demise being heart trouble. The remains were brought to the old home at Scranton for interment in the Scranton cemetery, arriving here Tuesday morning, where old friend viewed the remains at Marchant Funeral Home until 1:30 p.m. The remains were accompanied to Scranton by her husband and daughters, the latter being Mrs. W.L. Dole, of Shell Lake, Wisconsin; Mrs. Harry Yoss, of Scranton; and Mrs. R.V. Black, of Lime Springs, Iowa. Old friends here extend their tenderest sympathy to this aged husband and these daughters upon this sad home-coming. Mr. & Mrs. Glenn were among the very earliest settlers of Greene county. They lived honorable and worthy lives for many years among us and have none but friends here. In the passing of Mrs. Glenn a good and true woman, a living and faithful wife and mother and a kind, thoughtful and generous neighbor and friend has gone to her final reward, which according to the highest earthly standards should be "a crown of righteousness."
