William Archie Taylor, 88, of Dunbar, passed away August 5, 2006, at Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston.
He was a carpenter and worked in the construction industry, having owned Taylor Built Homes. Mr. Taylor was responsible for the building of many beautiful homes in the area. He was a former member of the Elks Club and the Home Builders Association.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Lonnie Monroe Taylor.

Surviving are his wife, Drucilla "Micki" Walden Taylor; daughter, Karin Taylor Preston and her husband, Charles M., of Anchorage, Alaska; sisters, Fontaine M. Taylor, Bethalene Taylor Stewart and her husband, Roy G., and Erma L. Taylor Pickens, all of Charleston; sister-in-law, Inez C. Moore Taylor of Charleston; nephews, James G. Stewart of Ohio and John Andrew Pickens of Burleson, Texas; and nieces, Sue Pickens Thompson of Nashville, Tenn., and Martha L. Neill of Charleston.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 8, at the Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Doyle D. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the cemetery.
