Bud was born March 26, 1925.
He was married to Betty (Gaskins) for 69 years.
He is survived by his brother, Richard; his children, Tim (Melba) Brannon, Donna (Don) Staddon and Judy (Wayne) Brearly; 15 grandchildren and 26 great- grandchildren.
Bud served his country in Italy during WW II and his community at Brannon's Jewelry, the U.S. Post Office and in the Salem United Methodist Church. He was also active in the Boy Scouts, Masonic Lodge, the VFW and the American Legion. He and Betty were honored in 1996 as king and queen of the Apple Butter Festival. In retirement, he enjoyed clock repair, woodworking, gardening and visiting family in England and Japan. Most of all, he appreciated spending time with family and friends who always enjoyed his positive attitude and ready sense of humor.
The family will receive friends at Harbert Funeral Home 287 W. Main St. Salem, on Friday, September 10, 2021, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Graveside services will be conducted in the Masonic Memorial Park, West Union on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with full military honors being accorded by the Harrison County Honor Guard.
