Price, Howard E., 94, formerly of Jerome and Windber, passed away September 5, 2021 at Arbutus Park Manor. Born March 25, 1927 in Windber. Son of the late James and Amanda (Miller) Price. Preceded in death by parents; loving wife, LaRue (Foust) Price; and brother, Ray Price. Survived by daughters, Louise Shreffler (Don), Holsopple and Bonnie Pile (Bill), Hooversville; sons, Larry Price (Susan), New Paris and Glenn Price, Rockwood; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. Howard proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy WWII Pacific Fleet and was a member of the Scalp Level Church of the Brethren. Howard worked for over 35 years and retired from the Prudential Insurance Company. He enjoyed photography and loved to fish. Singing was an important part of his life. He sang in the church choir, the Somerset Roof Garden Chorus, Johnstown Symphony Chorus and various quartets. Family and friends will be received Saturday from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 3 pm, followed by a Military Tribute at the Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd., Johnstown, PA 15902. In lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be made to the Scalp Level Church of the Brethren, 270 Hoffman Avenue, Windber, PA 15963.
