George Harry Mallon, Jr., was born September 24, 1945, in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Madryne and George Mallon. The Mallon family were parishioners at Christ the King Catholic Church. In 1959 George graduated from Christ the King Grade School, then Washington High School in 1963. After graduation, he served in the Air Force from 1963 to 1969 as a radar repairman.
George worked as an electrician for the IBEW Local 124 where he had been a member for 52 years. In his spare time he enjoyed snow skiing and fishing, even though he rarely caught anything.
Left to mourn his loss were his wife, son, daughter, three stepsons and ten grandchildren; as well as his three sisters and two brothers.
