"Former Jamestown School Teacher Dies at Bellingham, Wash., at Age of 63 Years.
"Fred B. McCall of Falconer, N. Y, has received word of the death of his aunt, Miss lone Abbott of Belllngham, Wash., which occurred July 26, at the age of 63. The remains will be brought here the latter part of the week for interment in Pine Hill cemetery at Falconer. A prayer service will be held at the Falconer funeral home, the hour to be announced later.
"Miss Abbott was born in Jamestown, Dec. 29, 1870 and was graduate of Jamestown High school. She also taught from 1895 to 1899 at the East Jamestown school, before moving to Washington where she had been a teacher for many years.
"Miss Abbott is survived by a brother, Charles S. Abbott, in California; a niece, Mrs. Mildred Rick of Jamestown, and a nephew, Fred B. McCall of Falconer. The Abbott family home was for many years at 112 Chandler street."
