James Harris Kimsey, 77, of Boiling Springs, SC passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021, at his residence.
Born in Knoxville, TN on September 15, 1943, the son of the late James Henry Kimsey and Hilda Harris Kimsey; widower of Nancy Joyce "Joy" McCraw Kimsey (1946–2021) and first wife, Sarah Elizabeth Francis Kimsey (1946–1991).
Retired from O'Neal Construction as a project accountant and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Tryon, NC.
Survived by sons, Keith Kimsey (Monica) and Joshua Kimsey; daughter, Jill Kimsey; stepsons, Jeff Lackey (Kim) and Cameron Lackey (Sarah); brother, Mike Kimsey (Faye); three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Predeceased also by two grandchildren, Jamie Barnette and Katie Barnette; and a sister, Nancy Kimsey Dunn (1952–2020).
Visitation held 12:00 Noon - 12:50 pm, Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Tryon, NC.
Funeral service followed at 1:00 pm at the church with Rev. Thomas Olsen officiating; burial in Good Shepherd Memorial Park.
