Bobby Hearod was born on April 12, 1939 in Canadian to Fred and Lula (Anderson) Hearod. He grew up in Canadian and graduated from Canadian High School. Soon after, on May 22, 1959, he married Georgia McClendon and they made their home in McAlester for their remaining years. Bob worked at the Boeing Plant in McAlester for over 30 years until retiring. After retiring he joined his wife in her business, Ideal Cleaning, and worked for another 30 plus years there. Bob was a long-time member of the Calvary Baptist Church in McAlester where he also served as a Deacon. Bob spent many hours coaching baseball and basketball for the McAlester Boys and Girls club and was well known in this area as a basketball referee. He loved sports and could often be found wherever there was a sporting event going on in the county. But most important to him were his children and grandchildren. He loved watching them on whatever stage they were performing.
Bob is survived by his wife, Georgia Hearod; his children, Darrel Hearod and Mike Hearod and his wife Tina; his grandchildren, Chris Hearod and his wife Jakeya, Derek Hearod, and Devon Hearod; his great grandchildren, Regan Hearod, Ethan Hearod, Kel Hearod and Carter Neill. He was preceded in death by his parents and all of his siblings.
