He was born in Easton, PA, a son of the late Rudy and Joyce (Taylor) Critelli.
Joseph was married to the former Elizabeth M. Verrastro, with whom he celebrated 44 years of marriage. He was a Facility Supervisor for Crayola for over 42 years. He was a proud member of the Nebo Hunting Lodge. Joseph enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, and gardening; and was a big Eagles, Phillies, and Flyer's fan. He was a great handyman; a wonderful family man, pappy, and husband; and enjoyed spending time with his grandsons.
Joseph was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church.
In addition to his wife, Joseph is survived by a son Joe W. Critelli, Jr., and wife Lauren of Exton; a daughter Alyssa L. Gillmer and husband Michael of Stockertown; sisters Jayne Donchez and husband Frank, Terri Henshaw and husband Bob; a brother Rudy Critelli, Jr; grandsons Lucas, and Chase; mother-in-law Betty Verrastro; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his father-in-law Leonard Verrastro; and a sister-in-law Gerri Critelli.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021 from 8:00 am to 10:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Palmer Twp. Interment will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem, PA.
