James Donald "J.D." Case, 85, of McAlester, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Viewing will held from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Chaney Harkins Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 13, 2021 at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Keith Stanford officiating. The burial will follow.

Pallbearers will be Brent Case, Caleb Case, Colton Case, Connor Case, Donnie Clements, and Brian Clements.

J.D. was born on February 28, 1936 in Paris, Arkansas to James Jackson Case and Eva (Clayborn) Case. He married Madie Charlene Moore on April 3, 1954 in McAlester.

J.D. worked at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary from 1965 to 1973. He then worked as a long-haul truck driver for Meeco Marina and then back to OSP where he retired in 1994. J.D. was a master craftsman and enjoyed many hours in his wood-shop.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years: Madie Charlene (Moore) Case of the home; his sons: Larry Case and wife, Vickie of McAlester, and Charles M. Case and wife, Pam of Mustang; his grandchildren: Brent Case and wife, Leasha of McAlester, Stephanie Vicars and husband, Jon of McAlester, Caleb Case, Colton Case, and Connor Case all of Mustang; Donnie Clements and wife, Sherry of Krebs, Brian Clements and wife, Melanie of Crowder, and Shina Hutchings and husband, Dale of McAlester; his great grandchildren: Emma, Parker, Jacob, Avery, Addison, Keaton, Cameron, Presley, Bailey, Chelsea, Justin, Jearod, Ian, Evan, and Isabel.

J.D. is preceded in death by his parents: Jack and Eva Case; his daughter: Rebecca Sue Case; his sisters: Ruth Brock, and Ruby Lee Boatner; and his brother: Lawrence Case.
