She was born in Morgantown on August 21st, 1950, a daughter of the late Elmer and Lucy Murray McDonald .
Joyce is survived by her three daughters, Susan Summers and husband Wesley, Debra Sanders and husband Keith "Junior", and Samantha Austin and fiancé' Robbie Robinson; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Carolyn Dalton, Juanita Hart and husband Hubert "Son", and Sylvia Young.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband James Lloyd Austin; two sons Anthony Lee Murray and Matthew Allen Murray; brothers Ralph, Cecil, Lester, and Francis McDonald; and sisters Loretta McDonald and Clara Murray.
Joyce was a very giving person and would give you anything she had. She was an excellent cook and baker. She will be missed dearly by everyone who knew her.
Joyce's children would like to extend their most sincere appreciation to her sisters Carolyn and Sylvia for all the time they spent together.
Friends may join the family to honor Joyce's life and legacy at Nicholson Chapel Church on Summers School Rd. in Morgantown on Tuesday, Sept. 14 beginning at 4:00 PM and continuing until the time of the funeral service on Wednesday, Sept. 15 at 1:00 PM with Reverend Ray Frankhouser officiating. Following the funeral service, Joyce will be laid to rest with her husband Lloyd in the church cemetery.
