William Henry Harrison Furlow was born 6 Feb 1844 in Hinds County, Mississippi, USA, and died 30 Jan 1924 in Mount Pleasant, Caldwell Parish, Louisiana, USA. He and his family moved to Caldwell Parish before 1850. He served during the Civil War in Company B, 31 Regiment Infantry. He was captured at Vicksburg and paroled. He belonged to the Masonic Lodge in Columbia, Louisiana.

He was buried 31 Jan 1924 near Columbia in Furlow Cemetery, Caldwell Parish, Louisiana. One of his grandchildren remembers attending the funeral. Since there were no flowers in January, they made flowers out of crepe paper to place on the grave. She said the ground was frozen and they walked behind a wagon that took his body from his home to the cemetery about a mile away.

He was the youngest son of Henry A Furlow and Susannah "Sucky" Heard. He married Leander Olive Meredith 18 Mar 1875 in Caldwell Parish, Louisiana. She was born 17 Jul 1855 in Caldwell Parish, Louisiana, and died 27 Mar 1910 in Caldwell Parish, Louisiana. She was buried 28 Mar 1910 near Columbia in Furlow Cemetery, Caldwell Parish, Louisiana.
