SHEPHERD, D. CONWAY, 75, of Louisville, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004, at VA Medical Center. He was a native of Adair County, KY, retired after 21 years with the United States Army, a life member of the Disabled American Veterans and a member of Clifton Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Willodean McGowan Shepherd; a daughter, Patricia Cross and her spouse, Rick, of Linton, IN; a daughter, Cynthia Taxes and her spouse, Butch, of Louisville; a son, Sammy Shepherd of Mt. Home, ID; a nephew, who was like a
son, Eddie Bolin; a sister, Mae Carrara of New Mexico; five grandchildren, including Sheldon Taxes, Michelle Clothier and Brent Kenworthy; and eight great-grand-children. His funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. EDT Thursday at Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Avenue, with Rev. Laurice Rogers officiating. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. CDT Thursday at Tartar Cemetery in Russell County, KY. Visitation will be
from 4-8 p.m. EDT Wednesday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy are requested to be made to the Mt. Holly Nursing Home Activities Department.
