Louis R. Boucher, 71, died unexpectedly of heart disease in Barstow CA on August 14, 2021. He was born in Worcester MA on February 1, 1950, son of the late Louis A. and Bernadette R. (Bourgouin) Boucher. Louie graduated from Boys Trade School as a mechanic and developed his skills fixing the cars of family and friends before going to work at Dario Diesel. He was a true patriot and volunteered to serve his country, entering the Air Force in 1972 as an airplane mechanic and later joined the U.S. Marines serving tours in Vietnam, Guam and several other countries before retiring in 1984 as a Specialist E4. Louie was a proud recipient of The Medal of Honor and The Purple Heart. He is survived by a son Robert, his wife Christie, grandchildren Christian and Kaitlyn of Montgomery AL, a daughter Pattaraporn (Patt) and son Methapat (Patt) of Barstow CA with whom he lived. His siblings Denise Boucher-Garofoli and husband John, Paul and wife Jean, Richard and wife Marianne, Joseph and wife Brenda, Monique Jenoure, brother-in-law Reed Sargent, many aunts, uncles, (especially Uncle Bobby Boucher) nieces, nephews and his friend and faithful Marine buddy, Charles "Mac" McRae. He was predeceased by his sister Michele A. Sargent. Louie's greatest joy was spending time with his children and family, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Louie was laid to rest on September 4th in Riverside National Cemetery, CA.
