BRIDGETON-Blanche Marie (Hartman) Case, 95, of Bridgeton, Indiana passed away on September 12, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born February 14, 1926, on the family farm in rural Bridgeton, she was the youngest child of Agnes (Overpeck) and Sherl Hartman. Her husband of 74 years, Seba H. Case whom she married on March 22, 1947, survives. Blanche was a 1944 graduate of Bridgeton High School. She retired at age 69 after 20 years of work at the Terre Haute Federal Penitentiary. She was also the founder and proprietor of the Bridgeton 1878 House and 1822 Case Log Cabin for 38 years and was instrumental in promoting the town of Bridgeton into a local landmark. She kept the books for the family farm for 65 years. She was a lifetime member of Friendly Grove Baptist Church. Ever kind and generous, Blanche mentored, helped and encouraged many people in her lifetime, including her grateful children who will miss her very much. She is survived by her children, Celia Case (Dave Gammon), Max (Betsi) Case, and Susan (Kevin) Carr, and by four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Glenn and Lester Hartman and sister Charlotte Feister. Services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 15, at the Friendly Grove Baptist Church, 8576 S. 75 W., Rosedale, with Pastor Perry Mager officiating. Burial will follow at Clear Run Cemetery in Bridgeton. Visitation will be from 12 noon until 2:00 pm at the church. Mask must be worn by all in attendance. Memorials should friends so desire, may be made to Friendly Grove Baptist Church, 8576 S. 75 W., Rosedale, IN 47874 or Bridgeton Covered Bridge Association, PO Box 1868, Bridgeton, IN 47836 in her memory.
