Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Maryon Grzyminski and Cathryn "Kay" Archinal.
Diane enjoyed going to their beach house in Ocean City, NJ. She was a wonderful Mimi to her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. Diane would also volunteer her time at St. Damien Thrift Shop in Ocean City. She graduated in 1973 from Archbishop Ryan High School. Diane owned and operated The Wizard of Ice ice-cream shop in Feasterville, PA for over 20 years. She formerly worked at Acme Markets in Philadelphia.
Surviving with her husband of 46 years are sons Douglas Buchanan Jr. (Karyn) and Nicholas Buchanan (Laura); brother Joseph Grzyminski (Joanne); sister Susan Sato (Creighton); and her 5 grandchildren Sarah, Luke, Quinn, Logan, and Elliot.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 22, 11:00AM at St. Teresa of Calcutta RC Church, 256 Swamp Pike, Schwenksville, PA . Entombment will follow at Limerick Garden of Memories Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00AM to 10:45AM at the church.
