After serving in a Mobile Medical Unit, in both the Pacific and in France / Germany, in World War II, Joe was Honorably Discharged from the military in 1945, and married his beautiful bride, Maria E. Alderete, on April 20, 1952.
Joe was married for 57 years to his wife Maria, and had seven children, Jane (Tony), Manuel, Vickie (Alfred), Jesse (Pat), Lorenzo, Lupe (Mike), Stephen Joe (Sehila).
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Felipe and Angela Alderete, his wife Maria E Alderete, three brothers (John, Pete, Fernando), two sisters (Martha and Domatilla), and two grandchildren, Alfred Joseph Ruiz and Joshua Alderete.
Joe is survived by his seven children, eleven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
