Thomas Lowell Barnhart, 68, of Walton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 12, 2021at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born September 5, 1953 in Walton, he was a son of the late Augustus and Mary Beismer Barnhart.

Tom worked as a tunnel worker throughout the US for over 45 years. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed gardening, was a handyman and had a talent for carpentry and used those skills to build a deck on the back of his house where he enjoyed sitting and visiting with his many friends and family and he never missed an episode of his favorite TV show Gunsmoke. Most of all he looked forward to his daily visits from with his Angels, Sarah and Paige.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 43 years Estelle Barnhart; children Melissa Robinson (Tim), Scott Barnhart (Kim) and Laura Hitt (William); Sister Cathy Bennett; grandchildren Logan, Caleb, Ceara, Hayden, Sarah, Madison, Scotty, Paige and Brandon; nephews Andy Grossmann (Mirranda) and Michael Grossmann (Nina) and his "Girlfriend" Haley Gransbury (Cory). Besides his parents, Tom is predeceased by his infant brother Donald Barnhart and brother-in-law's Gary Bennett and Raymond Grossmann who we know are at the 19th hole.

A graveside service to celebrate Tom's life will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11 A.M. at Walton Cemetery, 55 Fancher Avenue, Walton with Pastor Bob Wilkie officiating.

Memorial donation in Tom's memory may be made to the Walton Fire Department and Emergency Squad, 61 West Street, Walton, NY 13856.
