Marvin Kenneth "Kenny" Atkinson, Jr., 57, of 1012 Cloverdale Dr., Troy, died at 2:38 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2007, at University Hospital, Cincinnati. He was born November 19, 1950, in Piqua to the late Marvin K. Atkinson, Sr., and June M. (Kaeck) Atkinson. He married Doris Ouellette on June 24, 1989, and she survives.

Other survivors include his mother of Casstown; children Kenneth (Shelly) Atkinson of Covington, Debra (Jason) Reed of Sidney; step-children Maurice (Tina) Alexander of Covington, Angela Bowman of Jackson Center, Dustin Brown of Sidney, and Athea Brown of Sidney; twenty-nine grandchildren; brothers, John Atkinson of Huber Heights and Joseph (Kristina) Atkinson of Troy; and sisters Jackie (Richard) Stotts of Ottawa and Jeanne (Butch) James of Troy.

Mr. Atkinson attended Piqua City Schools and retired from the Ford Motor Company Lima Engine Plant in 2004. He had attended Troy Baptist Church. He was a member of the Amvets, Piqua, and a former member of the Elks, Redmen, and Moose lodges, as well as the Troy Fish and Game. Kenny enjoyed cars, motorcycles, hunting, camping, CB radios with his handle "Thunderbird", playing music, his mom's cooking, and spending time with his family and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home, Piqua, with Pastor Dan Sell officiating. Burial will follow in Casstown Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
