Selinda was the third of four children born to Leon Alton and Joyce Louise (Hare) Bonnet. She married Gary Franklin Johnson in 1976 and they were the parents of two daughters: Amy Christine and Katy Michele.

Selinda Kay (Bonnet) Johnson, 46, of Kyle, born on February 13, 1961, and died Thursday, November 29, 2007.
Kay was employed by the Hays CISD and enjoyed pool and scrap booking, watching television and playing Spider Solitaire on her Mini Meric. She grew up as a member of the Whitestone Assembly of God in Cedar Park where she was baptized and later married Gary Johnson on November 12, 1976. She later became a member of Faith Assembly of God in Buda. Kay worked in Children's Church, was a leader in the girls ministries known as "Stars" and the Girls Club the "Brownies". Selinda Kay was diagnosed with Progressive Bulbar Palsy ALS on August 1, 2005. She was preceded in death by her father Leon Alton Bonnet and brother Alton Bonnet. Survivors include her husband, Gary of Kyle; children, Teddy Johnson of Austin, Amy Delagarza and husband Valentine of San Marcos, Katy Mendez and husband Miguel of Kyle; mother, Joyce Louise Champeau and husband Darrell; brother, Toby Bonnet and wife Tammie; sister, Pamela Evers and husband Eugene. Visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. Monday morning at All Faiths Funeral Services South where services will be held in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. at Bagdad Cemetery, Leander.
