Sheryl A. Rea, age 65, of Huntington, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 5:24 pm at Parkview Regional Hospital, Fort Wayne. She graduated from Huntington North High School in 1974. She graduated from Huntington Beauty College and worked as an instructor. She later worked at Wabash Magnetics, EMCO, and Pathfinder Services. Sheryl was a devoted grandmother and enjoyed playing Bingo and going to thrift stores to find special items for family and friends.
Sheryl was born November 12, 1955, in Huntington, a daughter of James Brown and Virginia (Sands) Reddin. On April 11, 1981 she married her beloved husband of 40 years William "Willy" Rea in Huntington. He survives in Huntington. Also surviving are children Jim (Diane) Tackett of Huntington, Tonya Poole of Arkansas, Amanda (Jason Napier) Rea of Huntington, William Allen Rea of Huntington, Casey Rea of Huntington, a brother Gary (Deb) Brown of Huntington, a sister Cindy Hubartt of Huntington, 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Gregory Brown.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 23 from 10:00-11:45 am preceding the 12:00 noon graveside service at Star of Hope cemetery, Huntington.
