On a warm evening of September 11, 2021, Michael Joseph Berrigan passed peacefully after a long battle with Cancer and renal disease. Graveside services were held September 25, 2021, at the Neodesha, Kansas, Cemetery.
Michael Berrigan was born in Knoxville, Tennessee. October 25, 1945, to Louis and Goldia Berrigan. He was the youngest of four children. He had two older sisters (Marjorie and Caroline) and an older brother (Louis). Michael grew up in Neodesha, Kansas where he was an avid athlete.
Michael left Neodesha to pursue a career in dentistry, obtaining his DDS from UMKC. After a period in Kansas, his family moved to Texas before settling for his remaining years in Colorado.
Michael was a loving father. Some of his fondest memories were playing sports with his sons and traveling. His favorite travel destinations were Switzerland, Italy, and discovering family relics in Ireland. He was an avid learner and loved good poetry. Michael loved riding his motorcycle into Boulder and finding a patio from which to enjoy the sunset. Michael fought until the very end of his life before peacefully passing in his sleep. His love for adventure and good conversation will be missed.
