Allen was born on June 29, 1958 in Manitowoc, son of the late Clarence L. and Lucille (DeBauch) Blashka. He grew up working at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc, along side his family who where caretakers there. Allen was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1976 and then went on to earn a Machinist Degree from LTC. He met his wife Diane after being in a motorcycle accident and she was his nurse. Allen married the former Diane Brouchoud on October 12, 1984 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot. She preceded him in death on January 27, 2020. He worked as a machinist at various local companies. Allen enjoyed hunting, fishing and doing auto body work. He was a firm believer in the NRA and was a member of the Mishicot Hunter's Club.
Survivors include his siblings: Sue (Charles) Kocourek, Kaukauna, Terry (Margaret) Blashka, Manitowoc; nieces and nephews: Trisha (Scott) Weyenberg, Travis (Maria) Kocourek, Samantha Blashka (fiancé Al Busse), Eric Blashka; his mother-in-law: Joan Brouchoud, Mishicot; one brother-in-law: Patrick (Terri Lou) Brouchoud, Mishicot; three sisters-in-law: Terri Ann Brouchoud, Madison, Lori (Terry "TJ") Jansky, Mishicot, Kim (Todd) Funk, Mishicot; one niece: Kristin (John) Biely; two nephews: Brady and Brogan Brouchoud; two aunts: Carolina and Karen Blashka; and one uncle: Norbert Gallenberger. Several great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Diane; father-in-law: Lloyd Brouchoud; one brother-in-law: Bob Brouchoud; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home (928 S. 14th Street), Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Christin Raj with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, September 24, 2021 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.
