Las Cruces- Our Father God from up above has opened his gates to Heaven and called our beloved son, dad, brother, uncle, grandpa, husband and friend Juan (Johnny) L. Aceves, 55, home on Monday September 13, 2021, in Las Cruces, NM where he was born and raised. Johnny was born on March 12,1966, the day he shared with his twin brother David L Aceves. Johnny was born to Isabel Limon and Valentin Aceves Sr. (deceased). He will now be laid to rest to be reunited with his brother Valentin aka (Negro), Nephew Chris Mata, Sister Pauline Cervantes, Tio's Alfred, Albert, and Salvador Limon.
Johnny is survived by his mother Isabel L Pizarro, Linda R Aceves his wife/partner, daughter Stephanie Medrano, grandkids Amerie, Jewelynne, and Elijah, Joe Michael Mendez, Anthony, Alijah, Zarriana, Andrew, Christopher, Mariah, Mia and Xavier Holguin. His stepdaughter Sonja D Salaiz and stepson Anthony R Holguin (Tiffini) his sisters Patsy Peña (Mayo), Gloria Cordova (Carlios) brothers Ray L Aceves, David L Aceves, Johnny Limon (Sylvia), great nieces, great nephews, numerous cousins and extended family and friends.
Johnny was a die-hard Broncos fan who took his games serious, if they lost, he was not a happy camper. He loved to cook out and make people laugh and smile. Those who knew him loved these nights and those night will be deeply missed. He worked hard all his life in construction with Highland Enterprises for over 20 years, always in the sun with his hats and do rags. Johnny was the most loving, caring and big hearted person anyone would love to have around. He enjoyed the outdoors, cruising, camping, listening to music, enjoyed dancing with his dog Sultan and living life. His eyes told a story that some of us will never know the beginning, middle or the end but one day we will all be together in heaven with no more pain or suffering.
Our family is welcoming all friends and family to come pay your respects to our beloved Johnny on Thursday September 23, 2021. Public viewing will be at 1pm followed by services at 2 pm at Getz Funeral Home, 1410 E. Bowman Ave. Las Cruces, NM 88001. Burial will take place at St. Josephs Cemetery at 100 N Espina St, Las Cruces, NM 88001.
