Darrin E. Acker, age 55, of Rittman, passed away unexpectedly due to natural causes on Monday, August 2, 2021, at his home in Rittman.
Darrin was born on January 20, 1966, in Orrville, Ohio, to Duane and Patti (Matye) Acker and graduated from Rittman High School with the class of 1984.
He was currently employed as a machine operator for Luke Engineering in Wadsworth, a position which he has held for the last 16 years.
Darrin loved fishing, mushroom hunting, watching the Cleveland Browns, and listening to "that old time Rock 'n Roll". He enjoyed spending his free time being outside, whether that was working in the garden, cleaning out the ponds, taking care of the pool, mowing, woodworking and building furniture, or standing at the grill barbequing. He also enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and spending time in his man cave.
Surviving are his two daughters, Jessica (Tim) Pagniano of Creston, and Nina Acker of Rittman; granddaughter, Sage Pagniano of Creston; his parents, Duane and Patti Acker of Rittman; two brothers, Michael Acker of Akron, and Scott Acker of Madison, AL; two nieces, Chelsea (Doug) Dodson of Canton, and Ashley Acker of Madison, AL; nephew, Logan Acker of Madison, AL; great nephew, Bentley Dodson of Canton; and numerous great friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, at Auble-Gillman Funeral Home, 360 W. Sunset Dr., Rittman, with Pastor Thomas Becker officiating. Burial will take place at Rittman Cemetery.
