Jenkins, KY – Odas Carl "King" Addington, 68, passed away at his home on Friday, September 24, 2021. He was born on March 3, 1953 and had worked as a coal miner for 32 years. In his free time, Carl "King" loved to be on the road on his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Odas and Dora Mullins Addington; his wife, Arminnie Addington; his daughter, Crystal Stewart and his siblings, Johnny Addington, Clarence Addington, Lilly Ratliff and Betty Lou Baker.
Carl is survived by his daughter, Tonya Addington of Jenkins, KY; his grandchildren, Alexandria "Sug" Addington (Fredrick), Keiley Bentley and Carly Gilliam (Logan); his great-granddaughter, Kyla Gilliam; his siblings, Lyall Ralph Ratliff of Somerset, KY and Faye Mullins of Jenkins, KY.
The family will receive friends on Monday, September 27, 2021 from 1:00 -2:00 pm at Gilliam Funeral Home, 618 Wood Ave. W., Big Stone Gap, VA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Danny Quillen officiating.
Graveside services will follow in the Addington Cemetery in Wise County, VA.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Gilliam Funeral Home, PO Box 886, Big Stone Gap, VA 24219 to help with final expenses.
