Dwight Lewis Carroll "Jr.", 69, of Cedar Bluff, Alabama, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
He was a loving husband, daddy, grandpa, poppy, and great grandpa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dwight L. Carroll Sr., and Emma Williams Carroll; and father-in-law, Rev. W.C. Pence.
He is survived by his loving wife, Angie Pence Carroll; daughter, Tina (Bobby) Thompson; sons, Scooter (Jenny) Carroll, Philip (Jacqueline) Brown, and Richard (Fidela) Brown; grandchildren, Brittany (Audie) Marsh, Jessica Brown (fiancé Dustin Dalton), Gavin Carroll, and Emery, Kennedy, and Ragan Brown; two great grandchildren; sisters, Martha "Desiree" Carroll Scott and Brenda Day; brothers, Steve (Sue) Carroll and Rodney (Karen) Carroll; several nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Claudia Pence; and special sister-in-law, Michelle Pence, also known as Lonnie.
Funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Monday, September 27, 2021, at Community Baptist Church on Lee Mason Road with Pastor Mike Vowell officiating.
Interment at Community Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Rodney Carroll Jr., Timmy Carroll, Wesley Carroll, Jesse Carroll, Drew Goins, and Preston Goins.
Honorary pallbearers are the men of Community Baptist Church and Malcom Pickard.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.
Family asks that masks be worn.
