Janet L. Strange, age 82 of Bourbon, IN passed away on September 27, 2021 at 9:27 a.m. in her home.
Janet was born the daughter of Virgil L Oilar and Isabel Wakeland on November 24, 1938 in Veedersburg, IN. She enjoyed her career as a caretaker for the elderly. She married James Strange and they have several lovely children. She liked to fish and go to garage sales in her free time. She was also a member of the Walkerton United Pentecostal Church in Walkerton, IN.
Janet is survived by her daughters: Cathy Gardner of Bourbon, IN; Lola (Joe) Nelson of Etna Green, IN; Sheila Sarna of Warsaw, IN; her son; Russell (Donna) Hardesty of Walkerton, IN; and several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Janet is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Wayne Hardesty; her sister, Donna Lyons; her brothers: Robert Maudes; and Gene Wakeland.
Visitation service will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home (115 S. Main St. Bourbon, IN 46504).
Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home with Reverend Arnold Smith and Pastor Dwayne Smith presiding. Burial will follow at Etna Green Cemetery (10305 W. 300 N. [High Street] Etna Green, IN 46524).
