Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today at Providence United Methodist Church with interment in the church cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Tanya Aycock; son, Matthew; daughter, Renee; mother, Marjorie Aycock; mother-in-law, Ida Lynn May; brothers, Carlton, Tony, and Chris Aycock; sisters, Shelia Dowdy, Jonell Askew.
Mr. Aycock was a Boy Scout leader with the Robert E. Lee Council, Troop 862. He graduated with honors in mechanical engineering in 1969 from N.C. State University. He received his master's degree in metalurgy in 1973. He worked for AT&T Technology for 26 years.
His remains rest at the Joseph W. Bliley Funeral Home, Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull St. Road.
