Theodore "Red", of Orange, passed away on Tuesday at The Meadows after a long illness. He was raised in Mobile, Alabama. He was a Stone Mason for thirty years, then retired from N.L. Shaffer in Beaumont. He lived in Vidor for thirty years and in the McLewis Community since 2003.

"Red" was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Smith, mother, Bessie Smith, stepfather, Morgan Smith and stepmother, Rachel Lee Shows;sister, Geraldine Horn and brother, Newton.

Survivors include four stepchildren, Floyd Allen Broussard and JoAnn, Lois Elaine Granger and Don, John Earl Broussard and Walter, Joy Marie Trapolino and Johnny; two sisters, Edna Wilkerson and Emla Lou Larson; three brothers, Gerald Smith Jr. and Sandra, Jim Smith, Terry Smith and a sisters in law, Linda Smith; eleven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
