Kevin Charles (K.C.) Sulier, 55 years of age, died unexpectedly at his home in Wahiawa, Hawaii on August 21, 2021. Kevin was born on October 9, 1965 to Frederick John and Dorothy Marie (Wernert) Sulier, the youngest of their nine children. He graduated from Whiteford High School, attended Western Michigan University, and lived in Kalamazoo, MI, Clearwater, FL and Hilton Head, SC, before moving to Alaska to work on a salmon fishing boat. From there K.C. made his way south to Coronado Island and San Diego, California where he lived for 30 years working in logistical and IT support for the Navy. His job took him to Hawaii in January 2021 and for the past 6 months he entertained his family with stories of life there. Kevin was a coin and knife collector, a great storyteller and a friend to everyone he met.

Kevin is survived by his parents, Fred and Dorothy; his siblings, Mary (Art) Weeber, Frederick/Rick (Janie Colton) Sulier, Susan (Larry) Frye, Ronald (Michelle) Sulier, Robin (Gerry Davis) Charney-Sulier, and Lori (Alex Bourgeau) Sulier; many nieces and nephews and grand-nieces/nephews; and many dear friends. He was pre-deceased by brother and sister, Deborah and Randall; grandparents, Jay and Frances Sulier and Lawrence and Mary Wernert.

Kevin was a loving and thoughtful son and brother with a great sense of humor. His family is grateful to his friends, cousins, aunts and uncles who have called, written, and visited during the past few weeks. Reading your touching messages and hearing your K.C. stories have helped us all during this time. We are deeply grateful to his WHS classmates who planted an oak tree in his memory on the farm where he grew up, to cousins Robert and Jean Sulier who were supportive of him in so many ways, and to his friend Jeremy Ducey for his kindness and encouragement to our son and brother. Kevin will be missed by many.

On October 9, 2021—Kevin's 56th birthday—a funeral mass will be offered in his memory at 12:00 p.m. at St. Anthony Church, 4605 St Anthony Rd, Temperance, MI. Kevin's cremains will be interred in St. Joseph Cemetery, Erie, MI in a private ceremony at a future date. We invite Kevin's friends and relatives to join us for a celebration of his life from 1:30-4:00 on October 9 at the Main St Stable and Tavern, US 223, Blissfield, MI, which will include time to share stories or special words at 2:30.

Although Kevin suffered with Ankylosing Spondylitis most of his adult life, he did not complain or let it dictate how he lived. Tributes in his memory can be made to Spondylitis Association of America, 16430 Ventura Blvd, Suite 300, Encino, CA 91436. Or you may wish to plant a tree in Kevin's memory at a National Forest of your choice at
