Alexander Kelley Services Wednesday
The funeral of Alexander B. Kelley, 1911 N. Corona St., will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Evergreen Shrine of Rest Mausoleum Chapel, the Rev. Rawley Meyers officiating. Entombment will follow. Mr. Kelley died Sunday in his home at the age of 80. He was born Dec. 13, 1894 in Chicago, Ill. and had lived here for 50 years. He was retired, but worked for many years as an auditor for a number of railroads, including the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad, the Elgin, Joliet and Eastern Railroad, and the Chicago, Rock Island and the Pacific Railroad. He opened Wilson Brothers Men's Furnighings Wholesale Corp. in Chicago. He was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, the Disabled American Veterans, and was a veteran of World War I. He was married in Colorado Springs 53 years ago and is survived by his widow, Laverne Kelley. Other survivors include one niece, Mrs. Barbara Coppage of Long Beach, Calif. The Swan Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
